Undeniable Class Act

The Yankees have had there share of troubled souls who come to NY for a few years, make their contributions and move on. And they've had their legends ... the men who build their careers ... and their legends ... in pinstripes.

All time greats like Reggie Jackson and Roger Clemens pass through the Bronx putting up big numbers and winning championships, but their careers aren't all about being a Yankee. Randy Johnson and Gary Sheffield had great careers before coming to NY and may go on to have great seasons in their new homes but the fans didn't have as much trouble saying goodbye to them as they will with the aging, light hitting centerfielder, Bernie Williams.

He won't be a Hall of Famer and he won't be immortalized in Yankee stadium's Legends park.

But he will be remembered as a true class act. I still say my biggest failure as a father is that my son is a Yankee fan. But I'm proud that he's a Bernie Williams fan.

So I was wrong

You can add my Zito prediction to the list of things I was wrong about

- The Borat skits are funny, but no one will pay to watch 2 hours of this
- Britney finally found her lifelong soulmate in K-Fed
- A Bush/Cheney presidency can't be as bad a people predict
- '24' is a great idea, but can't last more than 2 seasons
- Transfats are actually good for you
- A third Godfather movie could be better than the first two
- Jose Canseco is a shoo-in for the Hall of Fame
